IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS)
A programme accredited under the IBF Standards is eligible for funding under the IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS), subject to all eligibility criteria being met. Candidates are advised to assess the suitability of the programme and its relevance to participants’ business activities or job roles.

Financial Training Scheme (FTS)
A programme recognised under the Financial Training Scheme (FTS) and is eligible for FTS claims is subject to all eligibility criteria being met. This in no way represents an endorsement of the quality of the training provider and programme and participants are advised to assess the suitability of the programme and its relevance to participants’ business activities or job roles.
The FTS is available to eligible entities based on the prevalent funding eligibility, quantum and caps. FTS claims may only be made for recognised programmes with specified validity period. Please refer to www.ibf.org.sg for more information.

Benjamin Yong
MSc Applied Finance (CFA Institute Accredited)Benjamin Yong brings over 25 years of market experience to his training practice, currently serving as the Head of Portfolio Management and Principal Fund Manager at Acore Capital Investments. In this role, he was a founding member responsible for securing the Capital Markets Services (CMS) license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). He actively manages an equities hedge fund, a fixed-income fund, and discretionary mandates for multi-family office accounts, overseeing assets across all classes.
Prior to moving to the buy-side, Benjamin held senior investment roles in major international and local private banks for 18 years. Most recently, he was a Director and Investment Counsellor at the Bank of Singapore, where he sat on the bank’s Executive Investment Committee and increased product penetration for his coverage by 50%.
During his tenure as Vice President at UOB Private Bank, Benjamin transformed an equities-focused portfolio into a diversified book. He successfully built a bond book exceeding USD 800 million, and quadrupled the managed funds business to over USD 1 billion in assets within a single year. His experience also spans Standard Chartered Bank, where he helped set up the equity flow trading desk, and DBS Private Banking, where he drove equity derivative flow sales to historical highs.
Benjamin’s expertise in structured products and flow trading contributed to significant industry recognition. During his time at Standard Chartered, he played a key role in the team that secured the "Best in Asia 2008" award from Structured Products Magazine Asia Awards and the "Global Best Private Bank 2008" award from Euromoney during the height of the Lehman crisis.
Benjamin holds a Masters in Applied Finance (CFA Institute Accredited). He earned his Bachelor of Science from the National University of Singapore (NUS).
