Kenneth Wong

Kenneth is a seasoned financial services technology leader with over 27 years of experience across the Asia-Pacific region. His career began at Barclays Bank Singapore in 1993, where he rose to the position of Regional Senior IT Operations Manager. In this role, he led a team responsible for the seamless operation of wholesale banking systems, private banking platforms, and trading and settlement applications, ensuring strict adherence to service-level agreements and regulatory compliance.

One of Kenneth’s key achievements at Barclays was the successful regionalization of IT operations—centralizing core banking, SWIFT, confirmation matching, and NOSTRO reconciliation systems in Singapore to support business functions in Tokyo, Australia, and Hong Kong. His expertise also led to his selection as a SWIFT operations trainer for overseas financial institutions.

Following his tenure at Barclays, Kenneth held senior leadership roles at global banking software vendors such as Fiserv, Misys, Fair Isaac, and Wincor Nixdorf, as well as system integrators including NCS, Fujitsu, and Virtusa. His titles have included Head of Solution Consulting, General Manager (Solutions), FSI Practice Director, and Senior Director (Solution Development), serving a diverse portfolio of financial institutions across APAC.

Kenneth brings over two decades of deep domain expertise in banking applications, solution architecture, and digital transformation. His knowledge spans Consumer, Wholesale, Private Banking, and Capital Markets, and he remains actively engaged with emerging trends in Fintech, Regtech, Insurtech, and cybersecurity. As a thought leader, he has represented NCS and other organizations as a speaker at industry events and serves as a registered mentor under Singapore’s PolyFintech 100 initiative.

His commitment to knowledge-sharing is evident in his extensive training contribution —conducting product and solution workshops for clients and partners across APAC, and leading internal banking domain training for technical and consulting teams at firms like NCS and Sun Microsystems.

Kenneth holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration by University of West London as well as a Graduate Diploma in Marketing issued by The Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK. He also holds a Diploma in electronics and communication by Singapore Polytechnic.
